Christmas Season

Do you know the solemn reason
For this special Christmas season
It has somehow gained this grand disguise
Designed to cloud our gospel eyes

The one true reason for Christmas Season
Is to remember His Atoning gift
It is all about a baby’s birth
That created quite a rift

To this world He freely came
To fulfill a sacred vow
Atoning for the sins of man
God’s justice would allow

To save us from that second death
Eternity apart from Him
Before us lies His sacred words
For our souls to win

A simple choice we all must make
Do we love the world or Him
What means more, the here and now
And dying in our sin

To save the people of this world
He asks us to believe
To repent of our sins and do His works
And His grace we shall receive
