Do You Know

Do you feel all alone in a crowded room
Feel the walls closing in with impending doom
Do you feel empty inside with no more to give
Have you lost the desire to continue to live

Do you feel like a stranger to those you hold dear
Do you tremble inside when you try to draw near
Have you lived the unthinkable & then so much more
Do you shrink when you try your sanity to restore

Do the sounds and the images not go away
No matter how long you kneel down and pray
Do you think good thoughts & see roses in bloom
And still feel alone in that crowded room

Do you retreat from the world of which you’re afraid
Only to wish that you just should have stayed
Does your mind then tell you there can be no more light
That the rest of your life will be filled with sheer fright

Do you know there is truth from Heaven Above
That God knows your name and that you have His Love
Do you know there’s a plan of which you’re a part
That it’s one you agreed to right from the start

Do you know that your sins – though scarlet they are
Can be washed white as wool to remove every scar
Do you know in His eyes you cannot be lost
That He knows of your pain and is aware of the cost

Do you know that Christ suffered beyond mortal bound
That His laws and His purpose are one endless round
Do you know that his Love has not an end
That with Him you can live an Eternity spend

Do you know all souls are precious in His Holy sight
That He mourns for each child who turns from His Light
Do you know that our agency He can’t take away
That we have to choose the path we will stay

Do you know life eternal is a choice you can make
If you look to His Son and your sins you forsake
Choose wisely my brothers, and my sisters too
I pray in God’s kingdom I’ll be there with you
