Marriage Eternal

From the moment that we met
My soul was mesmerized
I surely felt the Earth had moved
When I looked into your eyes

Never would we be the same
Yet we knew our time was short
Separation from my soul’s true love
I knew that I must thwart

Yes, we had to part
For months that seemed like years
The torment that we both had felt
Brought us many tears

I traveled half way round the world
But to you I must return
The solace of your sweet embrace
Within will ever burn

Ten lifetimes with my darling
Is just like saying never
Nothing could we settle for
Short of life forever

The only way that this could be
Stems from one Supernal
He promises that our marriage
Will always be eternal
