Please Tell Me Why

My dear Heavenly Father
Will you “Please Tell Me Why”
How the heavens canst weep
Why Thine angels do sigh

In the beginning dear children
I pled for your love
I asked you to choose me
And return home above

But many choose vainly
Their choice they do make
A place I’ve prepared
For all that partake

They too are the workmanship
Of Mine own hands
They are vast and as numerous
As the ocean’s fine sands

I love them all dearly
And know of their ways
They can’t hide their deeds
And they number their days

If they will not repent
And follow My Son
Their fate shall be sealed
And their pain will be won

Weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth
These things they must endure
The Laws of Justice will have their claim
Of their anguish I am sure

It is for this reason that the heavens dost weep
It is for this that mine angels sigh
We shall reap the rewards of all our works
And this is the reason why
