Remember 9-11

Today we remember
9-11
A day when many
Left us for heaven

That day innocent
And unaware
Many proceeded
Without a care

Cowards had changed
That day for all
As we watched both towers
Burn and fall

In disbelief
Our hearts stood still
Heroes were born
From their sheer will

Words cannot
Begin to relay
The emotions that stirred
On that dreadful day

Families and lives
Were changed forever
Yet some bonds were made
Stronger than ever

Our loved ones continue
Up above
Free of pain
And wrapped in His love

We will see them again
And surely abide
To enjoy life eternal
Right by their side
