Stand Fast in Reverence

My brothers and my sisters
Does anyone truly care
Everywhere is hatred
Evil and despair

I try to look beyond it
See the good in everything
But how can people do these things
To another human being

Earthly gains amount to naught
Vain ambitions at their best
You can’t take them with you
When you’re laid to rest

My solace lies in one that’s true
My peace he guarantees
All will gain just recompense
According to their deeds

Those who serve the evil one
Tremble from this truthfulness
Those who serve the God of love
Stand Fast in Reverence.
