The Path

Is there a place for me in the kingdom of God
How do I qualify
What are the things that I must do
That I may be sanctified

I do my best to help those in need
And am humble in all that I do
I impart of my substance and precious time
To make better all that is in my view

What do I lack that I can fulfill
What words would thou have me speak
I always have charity towards all
And strengthen those who are weak

Hear me my child as I speak from above
I know all your doings and know of your love
Your heart is broken and your spirit contrite
Never afraid of the cost when choosing the right

My eyes are upon you and mine angels are near
To always surround you and remove any fear
We always are with you so endure to the end
The course you have chosen is one to commend

Not many have chosen the path you are on
That which you seek is not far beyond
Stay faithful my child and be full of cheer
The prize that you seek is so very near
