This Easter Day

What do you celebrate
On This Easter Day
Do you remember the price
That Jesus chose to pay

Our every sin He faithfully bore
As He trembled from the pain
And from every pore He bled
With drops that fell like rain

His mortal life He sacrificed
And human dignity
He interceded with the Father
For the likes of you and me

Death could have no hold on Him
Rising triumphant from the grave
Do you understand the significance
Of what He freely gave

When he broke the bands of death
Ascending to His throne
He opened up the door for us
So we could get back home

He loves us with a magnitude
We cannot comprehend
His Kingdom He will share with us
Of which there is no end
